In collaboration with the R&D department of Applied Materials Italia the candidate will test different laser sources for scribing and cutting of both monocrystalline and multicrystalline solar cells. Specifically, IR and green nanosecond lasers are available with different optical setup (galvo head or polygon mirros). Cut cells will be characterized for electrical parameters and shunts by sun simulator testing, photo and electroluminescence, IR imaging, Suns-Voc and SEM. Purpose of the project is to define laser and optical assembly suitable for a mass production tool.
Duration 6 to 9 months, all at the industrial site.
