The aim of the project is to develop a model desrcribing glucagon action on endogenous glucose production in type 1 diabetes in postprandial conditoins. To do that, we will start from a model, avavilable in healthy subjects, of glucagon action on endogenous glucose production during a graded up&down glucose infusion. If succesfull, the model will be incorporated into the type1 diabetes simulator.
Dataset type: Already acquired data
Dataset description: Data of 19 subjects with T1D, studied three times with a mixed meal tolerance test and triple tracer protocol. measurements of plasma glucose, insulin and glucagon concentrations are available together with model-independent estimates of meal rate of appearance, endogenous glucose production and glucose rate of disappearance.
