Description

GLP-1 is a powerful insulin secretagogue secreted by intestine L-cells. A model of GLP-1 action of pancreatic beta cells alredy exists.

Converseley, a mathematical model describing GLP-1 secretion by the intestine is lacking.

The aim of this thesis is to fill this gap.

To do that data of post-prandial glucose rate of appearance and GLP-1 plasma concnetration will be used.
