The instructor will present theoretical models to characterise the performance of error correction and flow control techniques, their use within wireless systems and the impact of mobility on the end-to-end performance. Modern TCP versions (TPC CUBIC) will be theoretically modelled, and their performance will be evaluated in complex telecommunication scenarios including wireless and wired links. Twelve hours will be dedicated to fully solved exercises on the course topics.
