Master Thesis: Combining Agent Based Modeling with Reinforcement Learning for Industrial Ecology Applications

We are looking for a Master's thesis candidate to merge Agent-Based Modeling with Reinforcement Learning approaches to aid decision-making in Industrial Ecology applications, in collaboration with an industrial partner. Industrial ecology is the study of systemic relationships between society, the economy, and the natural environment;  it focuses on the use of technology to reduce environmental impacts and reconcile human development with environmental stewardship while recognising the importance of socioeconomic factors in achieving these goals.
