Read-out and real-time anamorphic correction of a hyperhemispheric lens


A hyperhemispheric lens is an objective able to record a field of view of 360° in azimuth (panoramic field) and 270° in elevation angles (hyperhemispheric vision). Due to the extremely large field of view, the final image presents necessarily a great distortion (anamorphism). The thesis work consist in the development of a C++ code able to read-out an image from an image sensor (cmos) and the contextual (real-time) anamorphic correction of the image.

A hyperhemispheric lens has several potential application both in terrestrial (video surveillance, autonomous driving system, etc..) and spatial (star tracker for mini satellites, planetary rover drive, etc…) frameworks.
