AR devices and applications allow combining real and virtual elements in a common interacting and immersive environment (see the live demo of 3D lab). Unfortunately, the visualization of 3D point clouds can be quite difficult whenever processing models made of billions of points.

The thesis work is focused on the design and implementation of efficient strategies for the compression and the visualization of point clouds on MS Hololens and Magic Leap One devices.
